Hi [emoji]9786[/emoji] we adopted a bottle fed kitten a few months ago his name is baby roscoe (odd name but it fits ) haha. Hes almost 6 months and hes very loving every morning when i get up to go to the bathroom he meows at the door and when i get out he quickly jumps on me and crawls up my body so i can hold him and when i hold him he starts to purr soo soo loud and puts his wet little nose and mouth on my cheek or lips and kneads my chest . then whens he done about half hour later he goes and plays and eats. But during alot of times through out the day he stands at my feet and meows until i pick him up and hold him like a baby and he starts to purr loud and kneads and kisses me . i dont mind it but the lady from the agency told me that i must ignore him amd thats why he acts that way which isnt the case and he seems to do it more and more everyday and when hes ready to go play he does . people tell me cats dont like to be loved constantly so i found it odd .
Has anyone experienced this ? I love mt kitty and if theres anything wrong i wamt to help him [emoji]10084[/emoji]

Maybe he was insecure in is previous setting and he is just letting you know he loves you and feels secure with you :) all cats have such unique personalities and I certainly wouldn't ignore him if he is asking for your affection. Purring and kneading together are almost certainly signs of happiness I would think!

That could be possible i got him when he was 11 or 12 weeks and the lady fosters alot of kittens and other cats. I try not ignore him but sometimes if my hands are tied up then i have to until im done but it feels great to know he loves me this much and he shows his love all the time whether im busy or not lol i got worried because he meows long like its a meeeeeoooooow for seberal minutes and i thought oh he must be hurting or somethings wrong .
Im new to owning a cat is it normal for kittens his age to try and jump on the walls like a mini spiderman?? Hes been doing thats all over the house and he loves it

Hi! Welcome to the Cat Site. I think Roscoe is a great name for a cat! It sounds like he loves you very much and now considers you his 'Mommy.' Kittens knead on their mother's belly to get the milk flowing and so it is a very comforting action for them, almost like sucking a thumb is soothing for human babies. Lots of adult cats do it before a nap to relax or when they are feeling lovey. And all cats are different- some are not very affectionate and some are very, very affectionate. I've had a cat who hated to be petted and two who would be perfectly happy to be carried around like a baby all day. Kittens in a litter do a lot of snuggling and touching of one another. Since Roscoe has no litter-mates now, he is transferring that need for contact and reassurance onto you.
The bathroom door is probably the only time there is a physical barrier between you and Roscoe, so that is why he wants in so badly. You are his comfort and confidence right now and he probably doesn't like to be so firmly separated from you. Plus, he is probably curious about what you are doing. The bathroom thing is one of those mysteries of catdom. Some cats just love the bathroom for some reason. I have two bathroom kitties. One hangs out in there all day and other has to follow everyone in and supervise. Little weirdos, lol!
His attachment is not a problem per se, it depends on what kind of relationship you want to have with him. He will most likely grow out of his clingy-ness once he begins to explore more and build up his confidence. If you do not want an overly affectionate cat, you can start to deter him by ignoring his demands. He'll adjust, although it will be noisy at first. Or you can keep on the way you are and hopefully have a super lovey cat. I really don't know if cats get separation anxiety like dogs do, so maybe someone else will have some advice for you.

Kittens are very active. We have 4 girls and a bit and yes I do see them attacking shadows on the walls from time to time. Sometimes they chase dust particles in the air or they might see a bug. As long as your boy is neutered already I wouldn't worry. If he's not, then it's possible he may be heading into puberty and the constant meowing and walk climbing are Tom behaviors. If he's ont fixed I would consider doing so very soon before he starts spraying and wandering. Otherwise, probably just part of his personality!
