How much protein variation is necessary?

I try to rotate proteins for my cats' wet food somewhat, but I also find that stuff like chicken and turkey is more economical and easier to find than stuff like rabbit, duck, lamb, or venison.

Is it okay to feed a cat primarily on poultry based grain free cat food? Or do they need more rotation of the meat source?

Rotating between chicken and turkey is just fine
Add in a few different proteins when you can for the variety, even the occasional seafood. The purpose of rotating protein not only gives the cat variety in the diet but minimizes the chance of a potential allergy to a protein.

Thanks! Good to know.

I went ahead and placed an order for some Tikki cat canned food and I will give them that once a week or so, as a treat. :)
