There is a discount store near my house ( compareable to Big Lots ) they had lots of bags of these dog treats .  It is 100% chicken . They are 4 oz bags and I got 5 bags for $1.00 each .  Exp. 6/2016

Is it okay to feed these to my cats ?  I gave them a small piece and they loved it ..

It should be okay as it looks to be just plain, freeze-dried chicken. You might want to crumble them into smaller pieces if they are large, but other than that I think it would be okay.

They're fine
The cat ones are the exact same thing, just in smaller pieces and in a smaller bag. The same is true for most 100% freeze dried meat treats but always double check the ingredients for the dog ones to be sure.

Wow, you sure did get a deal on those WL treats! My local indy retailer sells the smaller bags for cats at around $10 each.

It's fine to feed the WL freeze dried "dog" treats to your cats.  I often purchase the FD dog treats from e.g., Pure Bites, Bravo and Origin. The bags for dogs are much larger and far more cost effective than the small cat sizes. Ingredients are the same as for dogs / cats, in the case of FD, just the meat.

As Nansilude mentioned, it's primarily the difference in the size of the bites which you can just break up.

Lucky you! I'm glad you checked the exp date, however, more often than not, products that end up at these types of discount retailers are close to or past the exp date.

Which store is that, @2Cats4Me? Might it be Marden's? I hope? (We have one in Scarborough!)

Now you're set for toppers until at least 2016!

Oh no , it is a little store called Off Price . I guess it would be more like Marden's than Big Lots .  Yeah it is a great deal , I am going back and buy a few more bags .

Thanks .  I find some really good stuff at that store .  I always check the exp date because a lot of the stuff is past the date .
