Good morning all!

Being a new cat owner, I have a lot of things I am trying to learn. So far I have been reading books, but much of the information seems to be false or out of date.

I am thinking about looking into getting a subscription to a Cat magazine. I welcome any insights on some good magazine(s) that give good information on new updates on cat care, etc. I am not looking for a magazine that deals with fancy cats like Siamese, angoras, etc. Anna is a stray and lord knows what her genealogy is.

thank you very much for any insights you can give me.

I have a subscription to Catster magazine (formerly known as Cat Fancy) and they have a lot of really interesting articles about all cats. They do feature purebreeds in some articles but it's not just limited to that.

Donna,

Here are some books I really like.

This on general cat care with a holistic bent:
Up to date and for CATS. Too much info out there lump cats and dogs together..

Homeopathy for pets
And herbs for pets:
This link is for the hardcover so expensive. Mine is soft cover and was less than $20 I believe. Very much worth the price!

The info in this book helped me treat my cat for asthma without needing dangerous steroids. (Sometimes steroids ARE necessary... but my vet worked with me and agreed that it was OK to try a natural approach first.)
