Hey everyone! This is not a big worry, more just checking.
My fur baby (six months old) went to the cattery for the first time this weekend. She stayed two nights and I picked her up today. Since she got home she's been very needy and very affectionate. However she seems to have picked up a new behaviour -crying when she's in another room. The cry is deeper than what I've heard before, and just a different sound. I'm just wondering is this due to a lack of attention whilst at the cattery or a behaviour she has learnt from the other, older cats that I should ignore?

I think she's simply looking for you - calling to find out where you are. I've had two cats that would call out to find me. Both had a very distinctive, lower than usual meow specifically for this purpose. It's nothing to worry about. I'd take it as a sign that she's feeling a little insecure after her cattery stay. I normally just answer with something like "I'm here!" Don't make a big deal out of it, but provide the reassurance she's looking for.
