Hi I know many people ask this question but I couldn't help but wonder how far along my cat Tilly is. Tilly is under a year old and as we were booking her appointment to get fixed she took off outside. She returned pregnant. I believe Shes now pretty close to her due date. She spends a lot of time under the dresser (there's quite the bit of space there), and I can see the kittens moving plenty, but now she looks slimmer. I read a post that said that was her tummy "dropping". Anyways, here she is:

How old is she? She looks like a kitten herself. Pity you didn't continue with the spay appointment even though she got outside. You would not have noticed the pregnancy for at least 3 weeks. You'll have to keep her in after she has her kittens, as she can get pregnant again very quickly, even while nursing.

Once cats "drop" they are within days of giving birth. Do you recall the dates she was outside?

Do you have a nest prepared for her in a quiet, private place in the house, such as a bedroom? Is she getting plenty of wet food and kitten chow?

She was gone for several weeks, I really didn't think we'd see her again. shes been eating kitten food yes, I've also been given the suggestion of giving her scrambled eggs. She's been panting randomly for a couple minutes through out the past week or two. Of course me being inexperienced, I paniced and prepped everything. She has chosen a room on the main floor to nest in. It's the warmest place in the house. There's a window in there as well which can let in a breeze because I know that kittens cannot regulate their own temperature for a while. She's been sleeping plenty but when she is up, she's really active and affectionate, following me until she gets tired and goes back to her "chosen" nesting spot I believe.

She sounds very close, and like she's been in pre-labor.

She could have them anytime now.

Do you plan to keep her in and spay her this time?

Oh yes as soon as we can aha I can't handle having baby animals in the house. I'll want to keep them all lol. But I do feel bad for Tilly. Is there a higher chance she will need a c-section?

Honestly I just want to be sure I'm prepared as possible and Tilly doesn't suffer. She's a Young cat herself. She's very playful but doesn't like to be touched so her being affectionate towards people is new to me.

I don't think so. She should be able to have them on her own.

Here are some articles that may help.  There are more at the top of the forum as well.

The first link if a  good overview of the birthing process.

I'm here!

I'm delighted to hear she's having contractions. Just comfort her. Mucus plug must come out first. :)

So we have two kittens so far :) I think she's done but she keeps cleaning herself so maybe there's more? The two are feeding and doing well I believe and I'm so proud of Tilly she did so well.
I'm sorry that it took me so long I was just distracted by her lol.

Congratulations! :)

She may have another kitten or may simply be cleaning herself up.

Good to hear these two are healthy!
