we just moved to a new place and my cat refuses to come in my room
She will sit in the hall and stare in my room but she won't sit in my room with me
Like she used to and I don't know why at times she will come in but go right back out
It's as if she doesn't like my room
Any ideas why shes acting this way or how I could fix it

You've just moved house. There will be all kinds of unfamiliar smells to her sensitive little nose. Feliway diffusers will help her to generally relax and settle into this new environment. Another trick you could try is to take a cloth and rub it all over her, focusing on cheeks, chin and jaw (where the 'friendly' scent glands are). Then take that cloth and rub the doorframe, floor etc down with it. By doing this, you're spreading her scent around your room - making it feel like home to her. You could also take more of these cloths and scatter them about your room, and you could bring in things that she loved in your old house (bed, favourite blankets etc). That way you'll make it her room too, and she should start to feel more at home and act more like she used to. Interactive play is another great way to help her lay claim to her new territory.
