Cat food gone !!!!!!

Hi , My name is Mary Ann and I'm upset about something that happened to the Friskies Urinary Trac food I have been using for at least 8 years or more. It was the canned food , not hard. I went to put my usual order in at Pet Smart and I could'nt find any of that type anymore ??  It as not there !!!  I went to 5 other Pet Food sites and the same. Just gone !!!!  I called Friskies and their explanaton was that they took the whole line off the market because it was not selling  ??  I know that in the past I have had to wait because it was on back order so I am very confused and nervous .Has anyone in this group used this food or knows of someone who has I would love to hear what they think about this. My 2 concerns are I still have 3 case's for my 2 cats and I really dont like the explanation I received. I worry that there has been something wrong with this food and they are not saying.  Has anyone heard anything from anywhere about this ???  Oh, and my second concern is that the alternative food I will have to buy is sooooo much more expensive and only 1 of my cats needs it so that should be fun considering they like to eat out of each others bowls. I had been feeding both the same food.  Would love to hear anything from anyone,  Thanks so much, Mary Ann

I've heard about this before on this site. I really don't think there are ANY concerns over the safety of the food. Its simply that manufacturers sometimes decide to stop making a certain line. In this case, it may simply be to get more people to buy the more expensive Purina made (which includes Royal Canin, remember) urinary diets. (oh, cynical me! )

Not being in America, I'm unable to suggest any alternatives for you to try.
