Do kittens usually lose their "baby" teeth around 6 months?  Luke seems to be chewing on stuff a lot (and us!).  Any suggestions for things I could get for him to chew on?  He's biting cardboard now!
It must be a bit uncomfortable in his mouth while this is going on.  Thanks for any advice!

Between 6-9 months, but this is more of a behavioral issue than medical.  Short answer, redirect the biting to toys, never encourage play with your hands, and if he nibbles on you, use a stern voice and blow some air on his hand, then turn your back and give him a 1-3 min time out by walking away from him.  When you return pet gently and reward proper behavior, and always encourage play with toys.

Yes, I do exactly that.  He's full of kitten energy and doesn't quite know what to do with it all of it so he gets excited and nips at my fingers/hands.  I blow on him exactly as you said and give him toys to chew on in place of my hands.  I don't want him biting hands as an adult!  Thanks for your input.  Now if I can get him to stop jumping on my back and biting my ponytail!!

One possible solution is to get him a buddy :-)

I am just now getting the 7-year-olds calmed down with Composure to accept him.  They still hiss at him when he tries to play with them.  I wish I could get a buddy for him.  One more kitten would send my girls over the edge, I'm afraid!
