I've been thinking about putting together a first aid kit for my cats. Does anyone else have one? What kind of things would you put in it? I'm thinking things like safe medications for upset tummy, antibiotic ointment, things like that, since the ones in the human medicine cabinet are often not safe for cats. Maybe a bottle of Pedialyte and some baby food too.

I have a "kit" of sorts.

I'm holistically inclined so my kit has natural medicine items...

I ALWAYS have colloidal silver on hand. (30ppm Source Naturals)

I have a 50 remedy Homeopathic kit in 200C potency.  Now, that may not be

something many would be interested in but keeping Arnica in a 30C and 200C can

be really really helpful. There are other commonly used remedies for things such as stomach upset,

burns, boils etc. that can be good to have in the house.

Slippery Elm root is good for any kind of tummy upset, nausea, constipation, diarrhea...

These 3 items alone can make a big difference while waiting to see the vet, and in some cases

may prevent a vet visit all together. (But I always advocate that it is always best to see the vet if one is unsure)

I don't really have a specific kit, but probably should.  It's a great idea.  I keep slippery elm bark around, and styptic powder (if I could find it), and an emergency vet's phone number handy.
