Hello, new to the site and hope someone can possibly help with a problem with my cat. I noticed a week or so that a small bald patch had begun to develop on the back of his neck. It grew slightly in size and turned scabby and weepy. It then became bloody but that may have been him scratching it. It's scarred over and dried up a bit now. I've attached a photo. Has anyone come across this and know what it might be?

It could be so many things.. from an allergy to ringworm.

We do have this article which may help but honestly, a vet visit is the only way to know for sure.

Welcome to TCS and I hope you have this cleared up really quickly.

Definitely a vet visit is the way to go.

Do you use a topical flea treatment?  It is hard to see on the image exactly where this is on the neck, but if it is

where a topical pesticide was applied, that would then be the likely culprit. In which case, applying a flea treatment again would be contraindicated.
