Good morning.

Do you have any good luck charms that you carry around with you?

I've got a black cat that hangs off my cell phone. Almost everyone decorates their phones with charms and mascots over here, I only just realised that people in the rest of the world don't do that.

I've also got a temple charm from the Buddhist temple in my husband's home town. It's just a little gold coloured square with the name of the temple on one side and the kanji for Safe Travels on the other. It's rattling around in the bottom of my bag somewhere.

How about you, do you have any?

None. I have never carried around anything for good luck.....hmmm, maybe that explains a lot?!

A fortune-teller (she used cards) told me sister to carry the 23rd Psalm in the glove compartment of her car. I know she did have it in many of her cars, but I don't know if she still carries it.

I used to have a Native American stone, hand carved Zuni fox "fetish" in my bag. It lives in a specially made leather pouch which has cornmeal in it also, as it needs to feed :D

It now lives at home. I was worried I might lose it.  Was pretty pricey.

I have a collection of Zuni fetishes, I think they're beautiful.  They're all at home, too, though, I don't carry them with me.

I wear a necklace that is sort of a good luck charm, I suppose.  It's a tiny bull, representing the Spanish concept of a querencia, a place where one feels strong and safe.

They aren't really for luck, but my wedding and claddagh rings from my husband give me strength when he's not around. I also have a necklace with a charm that my niece gave me after her mom passed away, it says "The Heart Remembers" with my sister's name engraved on the back. It helps me feel like she is near.

On days when I have a really difficult road ahead, for example traveling 2000 miles for the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd funeral of immediate family members, on those kinds of days I wear all three pieces of jewelry.

no good luck charms here. i firmly believe in making my own luck.

i do have two hex signs in my house though, Jacob Zook hex signs. hex signs are a form of Pennsylvania Dutch folk art. they remind me of my dad, who would point out hex signs painted on the sides of barns when we'd drive past them. here's more info about hex signs -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hex_sign

I have a silver locket with a pic of my dad inside, not really a good luck charm but I wear it when I feel I want my dad with me. I wore it everyday for months after his death, I wore it recently to a job interview. I will wear it on my wedding day.

No. I don't believe in luck. I believe that everything happens for a reason, good and bad.

I have a keyring that has the prayer for safe travel in Hebrew on it. As it's on my keyring it travels with me.

None, though when I was younger I had a keychain I called my lucky key chain. :)
