Wonderful!

But he still has infection or fluid and it's drained into his ear and legs. If we can get that better, he'll be good to go!

I'm hopeful this is just a new antibiotic needed, and no procedures or tubes.

What a little fighter!

Such will to live - he's getting this from his "mama" - and that's you :).

Yep. His little ear needs treating. And I do think it's related to the abscess. Hopefully a round of clavamox will dry that up.

Let the vet know he's already had albon and is on amoxicillin, and that clavamox has been suggested.

Is Oliver's breathing problem clear now?

Yes almost completely. He sneezes only after eating but he hasn't wheezed ALL DAY!!!! He has slept a lot today but I think he is feeling relieved and sleepy. He did wake up hissing from a dream... it was kind of the cutest hiss I have ever heard. Gosh I love this little guy. :)

I know you love him! [emoji]128149[/emoji]

He's probably sleeping so much to catch up on the poor quality sleep he experienced while sick with his cold.

Hurray - no more wheezing :).

Such cute pictures of the little guy. Hoping for a good update from the Vet. It is great that Oliver is not having as much trouble breathing. Hopefully it was just a very bad cold and not pneumonia.

The doctor said he looks good! Prescribed clavamox. He said it looked like his legs had fluid in them and hopefully the clavamox will fix it. His ear was not abscessed, the cartilege had separated from the wall of the ear and filled with fluid. He drained it. Apparentley this happens a lot to boxers. It will probably heal over time on its own. His lungs sound good and he is alert and hungry. However he did say Ollie isn't out of the woods. Because his immune system is so bad he is weak. He explained this is why his sub q got infected so easily.

I am glad he is on stronger antibiotics and his ear has been drained. I wonder what it is that is making his immune system weak?

Just want to ask you if the kitty's poop smells bad, beside being runny?  If so, the cat could have coccidia, from parasites.  One that I found did and meds got rid of it right away.  Also, check into the shelters.  A lot of them have very low cost services for finding strays.

Glad you went to a new Vet!  Hooray for Oliver!!

Now he needs to get stronger. He will, now that he is on the clavamox. His lungs are clear! celebration

Poor baby about his ear. At least his leg is not broken. Yes, sub-q fluid travels down...

Let's go little guy! We want to see you run around and play!

You are doing such an awesome job with this baby...thank you.

So glad the vet drained his ear and prescribed the clavamox. Is that for 10 days?

Was this a new vet? If so, did you feel good about the office?

Let's hope his ear heals and his leg swelling goes down, and that smooth sailing is ahead!

It's time for Oliver to catch a break here :).

I just woke up from a nap :) oliver is sleeping still. The vet is actually the same office different vet. I really like this guy. He was very nice and took his time with me. He did every procedure in front of me per my request.
