He is definitely doing better today. His temp feels down again and he pooped without pain. He pushed and out poped a pellet. It was hard but I have a feeling he may start pooping softer today. His right eye is all the way open and his meow is back! I have given him 2 ml pediolyte between feedings, and I add it to his bottle as well.

Oh, thank goodness!

Sounds like the fever is breaking finally. What a relief!

How exciting that one eye is open! Is the other eye starting to open too? They still do not see really well for a few more weeks though.

I am looking forward to a softer poop report, but I know it's coming. Poor little guy! He's so fortunate you found him.

His other eye is mostly open just a little more to go. He is sleeping now and im going to the dollar store to get a digital thermometer just to make sure his temp is down.

I bought the thermometer and it works great! His temp is 99.2 which is much better than what it was :)
A friend lent me their super accurate scale and he weighs 7.2 ounces. I will post a picture when he wakes up. He is so cute!

Oh, how precious! :)

I know you must be in love [emoji]128149[/emoji]. And he thinks you are his mom! The bond between bottle babies and their caregivers is very strong. His little ears are beginning to open too!

Is his temperature still good? No more constipation?

His nose is wet and shiny but he is still pooping hard pebbles that look like pistachios. I am hoping it just needs to flush his system out.

His poop will probably get softer in the next 24 hours. His system needs to recover from the fever, now that it's gone.

I'm so glad his nose is moist! It looks like he's turning the corner :).

He is still pooping pellets. In fact this morning there was one in his bed he pushed out on his own

This should change soon, hopefully. How much formula is he getting? I know you are still giving him pedialyte. No more fever, right?

No fever. In fact I had to put his rice bag back in with him for warmth. His temp is a steady 97.5 and he gets formula every 2 hours (I slept through an alarm last night so he went 5 hours) and pediolyte in between. He weighed 7.2 Oz yesterday I will weigh him again when he wakes up

That's perfect! I think his poops will soften by tomorrow. Could also be from the antibiotic he's been on in addition to fever. They can dry a system out.

He's having a good day though, right?

He is having a great day :) he is getting so much more alert. His poops are hard but they don't seem to be painful like they used to be and he doesn't need an enema Everytime he poops.
