My female cat is about 11 years old now and has not had a clear runny before until about the past year. It's periodic. I was petting her on my bed a few times in the past 6 months or so, and noticed that she had dripped clear drops on the bedspread. It kind of just sprayed out of her nose a bit but she didn't sneeze and hasn't been.
She is somewhat lethargic, but otherwise healthy from what I can tell.
The past few days I have noticed red sores above her eyes, and she scratches them and they bleed. I've been putting Polysporin on them but she must be licking it off. The sores look like they're comprised of a bunch of little red dots to start with until she makes it worse.
I am wondering what that is from??? And if I should spend the $150 to take her to the vet to have it investigated.
I seem to be spending enough money on my cats lately (I have 3), and I can't keep doing that. They charge a small fortune.
The vet will likely want me to have blood work done, urinalysis done and may put her on meds. Money, money , money. I want to look after my cats of course but the vets shouldn't charge so much.
Anyone have any ideas? Or the same type of sores above their cat's eyes?
Thank you.
