Finally, my human got a chance to sit down and start this thread (as I dictate).

My name is Taylor "Ze Monsta" Lee, and I just turned 9 on Aug. 4, 2015.

Yes, I am a leo cat.

I adopted my human when I was 4 months old.

We used to live in Vancouver, in one of those high rise apartment buildings, but now we are in beautiful Whitehorse, Yukon.

I had my human drive all the way up from Vancouver to Whitehorse when we moved, and we got to see different animals on our way.

Now we are living in a house (for the first time in my whole life) I meet foxes in the back yard.

I am only supervising those visiting foxes from my high window but they seem to be well controlled.  Ha ha!

Just wanted to say hi.

Hope to make friends too.  Mewmew!

Hi!  And Welcome!

I'm definitely jealous of the view!  I've been living in the prairies for the past four years.  I count myself lucky that we're in an area with lots of trees but definitely flat!  Taylor is a cutie and definitely seems to be full of personality!  Make sure he keeps those foxes in line!

Thank you.   We got awesome views.  The temperature can go down to -30 in the winter but it's worth it.  Ha ha

Yes, trees are great.  Taylor's very independent.  So much so it took 8 years for him to sleep with me.  I think it's because he was abused before he was rescued.  He was very young then so I don't know how much he remembers.   I am jealous of those people with affectionate cats.

Yeah, it gets cold like that here in the prairies too though maybe not quite so often.  It's the winds that make it so terrible.  Nice to hunker down by the fire when it gets like that.

Figured I would drop in and say hi, you dropped in on my thread ;). I have to say that your cat is gorgeous and such beatiful land as well. I live in what you would call Deep East Texas.. A very rural area. My whole home is surrounded by wilderness and wild life. Looks like we have that in common!

Re: affectionate cats -
This might sound weird but it can help a cat become more affectionate if you add omega oils to a cats diet, either as oily fish or pure salmom oil. I have known cats that suddenly became alot more affectionate after starting to feed them tinned sardines or salmon. I think the omega oils do wonderfully beneficial thing's to them.
The first time it happened a shy female cat literally jumped onto my lap for the 1st time in 10 years after having half a tin of sardines! The other cat (totally separate time and place) went overnight from being sweet but aloof, to being sweet and affectionate demanding attention and strokes !
Sardines in spring water are fab as no salty brine to rinse off.

Your photo is beautiful btw. What a lovely looking cat and amazing view you have !

Thank you, Zed.   Love your kitty friend.   Something about a cat in a laundry basket makes me relaxed for some reason.   Lovely.
