This is fantastic news!

It was obvious the kitten had an issue beyond just diet and needed treatment. I feel like the first vet did not really give the matter his full attention, though he should know better.

I can only think that the woman who has not returned your call is overwhelmed by her job. I do think your kitten is safe now, but you could ask to fill out adoption paperwork.

I think, above all, that this is all the more reason for your daughter to attend veterinary school. We need more caring, attentive vets!

You have now also seen just one issue that she may face in her career as well.

I believe you will now see your kitten begin to turn around. With her course of treatment and new diet, she should begin to thrive!

Please keep us updated through this experience, as we can all learn from each other. I know you must feel incredibly relieved today :).

Try again to post a picture today!

I am so happy you have her back!! How is she doing now? And what are you naming her?

She seems to be doing better already. We named her treasure. How do I post a picture from my phone to this site?

I'm so glad to hear she is doing better. Not dripping poop any longer?

I just love the name Treasure! It is perfect :).

Oh, how sweet! :)

Is your male cat back to "mothering" her now?

This is heartwarming. I am so glad this is working out!

Yes he cleans her nonstop. Tries to pick her up and will walk with her in his mouth until he drops her. He tries to play with her. She's only now starting to play a little but she purrs the moment he starts to clean her. She is the sweetest.

I never thought a male adult would be so attentive to a kitten. My female adult has nothing to do with her. She has never had kittens as she is spayed so perhaps not much of a motherly instinct. Then again he is neutered and a male.

I'm so glad she's getting "mothered" by him. It's so sweet, and good for her to have interaction with an adult cat. Those two will always have a bond!

See, all she needed was correct treatment by a vet and she's good to go. When are her remaining treatments?

She is getting 5 injections. She has had her third this morning. So 2 left. Of course I'm
A little worried that her popping will return once her injections are finished. She has improved so much with the injections so maybe once they do stop then she will continue to improve.

Hopefully the point of the injections is to cure infection. I'm assuming she is being given an antibiotic. Do you know which one?

No I don't know exactly which one. I don't see the vet. I bring her in and the receptionist brings her inside to the vet.

Omg. It's me again. My female adult cat was outside today with my husband. She isn't street smart and only out on the rare occasion to lay in the grass. She is gone. She was laying where she always lays and when he went to check on her she wasn't there. That was 930 this morning. It's almost 1am and she isn't back. She has never spent a night outside and has never been missing before. She's almost 6 years old and spayed. She's the cat that has been upset since arrival of the kitten. I don't know where she is. We have been looking for her all day and night. She has never not been home. Could she have went away because of the kitten? Sounds like a weird thing to ask but I've been giving most of my attention to this kitten lately given the situation. Never had I ever had either one of my two cats disappear.

Someone may have taken her in.  Did you put up posters, knock on doors and ask neighbors to check sheds and garages in case she got stuck in one.

You can post on Facebook as well.  Check with the local shelters and animal control.  Vets in the area.

Yes I've done everything. We live in a somewhat isolated area with little traffic and few neighbours. We are surrounded by trees and I've been up in the woods calling to her and I've posted her picture on Facebook and every pet organization I can find. I can not believe that after the kitten stress that my cat is missing. I've looked everywhere and searched everywhere. We've been at it since this morning.

Cats have a terrific sense of smell.  You can put some of her used cat litter out to help her find her way home.  Some people also put some of their dirty laundry out to attract their cat.  I hope she's ok.
