Spoke with the vet all is good she was eating after 2 and 3. We got worried because they came out together. Vet said twins are rare but happen. I figured it could but didn't think it would, lol. All 6 are the orange tabby colour and a few have the whit on chest and face. 4 of the 6 are polydactyl like her which is strange, vet told me less than half would be but not with her. I will have pics later she is exhausted and the whole house smells of newborn kittens. Glad it's over she was becoming a pain in the but these last few days.

Beautiful kittens.  Congratulations.

Just so you know, it's a big deal when there are so many kittens, as you can see already some are much bigger than others, and there is a good chance the smalls won't make it long because the big ones wont let them nurse on the better lower milk filled nipples.

Often times big litters must be rotated or the smalls supplemented.

This is the reason why so many runts don't make it. Not because there is something wrong with them as most people think, but because they slowly starve to death basically.

I will be here when you are ready for help and advice on doing this.

Their first day they can all be with mom though.

Tmrw you will really want to notice what's going on and how the smalls are not nursing much.

Well the 7th you see is her paw lol, we sadly lost number 7, on the way to the vet. She was bleeding and I got worried But we got her home now and all is okay. 6 very beautiful kittens and because of colourings we can't sex them. Not unless they are all male. The 7th was under developed and never started breathing. She even took it out of the box and left it on the floor. Vet said all else is good and he said once they are weaned we can schedule her spay. I'll have more soon when they are alone so u can see all 6, he also gave me some milk replacement and we bought bottles. Thank you again everyone.

Orange are usually males but not always.

You can tell the difference despite how all have a lump there now due to swelling, by comparing babies, females have 2 holes close together while males have their further apart.

Is it normal for her to be up and about. She hasn't left the room but she's laying down eating and using her litter box. She won't touch dry but inhaled wet. I gave her a second since noon and it's already gone.

It is normal, as long as she doesn't spend too much time away from them, she is sort of recuperating herself, and yes, she will seem starved too! Wet is best for her now anyway, she is going to need plenty of fluids to produce lots of milk :)

POLYS?? I LOVE polys!!

I'm sorry the last one didn't make it.

You should get some small needleless syringes 1-2 ml.  Nursing kittens won't use a bottle.

My kitten is polydactyl and came from a litter of cats where the mom was also polydactyl. I believe that five out of six of the kittens had extra toes. I never saw the father to know if he was polydactyl too.  So maybe the father had more polydactyl genetics to contribute as well? I love polydactyl cats. They're so special.

Okay thanks handsome I will get those once hubby is off work atm they all seem to be getting enough but things will change I'm sure she has ever teat leaking milk. She ate and is now out like a light. I think I need a nap too lol we started at 6 am till noonish with delivery. It was hard but so worth it. After awhile she got tired and wouldn't push out placenta that's why we went to vet, she was an hour later and wouldn't push it out. But all well so far. Thank u again I know I keep saying goes it but this site has been a blessing for our little stray.

The people in our area call her Diablo before we were be to save her because of extra toes. Some kids threw rocks at her. We called police but nothing is ever done. I live in County housing right now and some of the people here just don't care. I'm so pleased we could save her, there are so many kittens and cats it's heartbreaking. We've seen the father there are two toms by our house for sure and one is an orange tabby just like ours, he is huge looks more like a medium sized dog than a large cat. But, if u go near him he sprays so not sure if he's poly as well.
