Hey. Im new here so sorry if this is the wrong forum for this thread but please bear with me. My mother recently bought two persian kittens. They're 2 months old she reckons, bit she isnt sure. I think it was a very bad decision on her part because we dont have a very good history with pets, the house is conpletely empty in the morning cuz we all have jobs or school so they're will be no one to care for them and I also have a 2 year old sister who might hurt them. Im sooo sacred that we wont be able to take good care of them. I need your help. I would be indebted to u if u could tell me all the basics on how to care for kittens. I should also add that we live on a place very far from the vet and my mum says it'll be hard for us to visit him.please help me. I dont want these poor souls to suffer because of my mum's stupid decision :(

Hi afreen101.

I'm sorry you haven't had any replies yet. I've moved your post to our Kitten Care forum so you'll get the help you need.

Nice to have you on The Cat Site.

This they are leaved alone some time isnt as bad as it sounds. they are two, so they can held each other company.  One of the great advantages to have two kittens, not one as is quite common.

Also, if there is care enough for your little sis - she is apparently not leaved alone - there is hopefully care enough for these two kittens.

The only is you must of course help the little one to be careful with these kittens.  Sometimes they get fantastic friends, kittens and small children.

But if the child is drawing them in the tails,  chasing after them and shrieking, no good no...

But you have entirely right: it IS a responsibility to adopt / buy kittens / cats...  So its very good you are thinking and planning...

Hopefully you will find solutions, find tricks, to manage....  Even to find a vet more nearby...   If they are healthy, they wont need to visit the vet so often.

Quite a lot can be done at home, for example getting suitable dewormers, deparasiters, food...   Some you can get online nowadays.   Its just to read on some, because some OTC dewormers may be harmful

What country are you in, and if USA, what part of the country?  I mean, we can perhaps help find you a suitable cheap vet...

What are the kittens being fed? How often?

Are they using the litter box?

Have they been spayed or neutered yet?

We need to get the basics down first.

Thank you for caring :).
