Please help me.. my cat is giving birth?

The baby has latched on to Katana's nipples a few times but She hasn't finished giving birth and still hasn't produced milk so I've been feeding the baby the best I can.. Katana doesn't like it when I feed the kitten, Its not constant bt she's got blood coming from her v , is this bad?

The milk will not come in if the kitten isn't sucking on her nipples.  Make sure the kitten trys feeding from mom as well.

How much is she bleeding?

You need to take your cat to the vet asap to see what the problem is.

Are you using KMR? How much and how often are you feeding the baby?

You need to get a syringe!!!

Are you feeding tummy down, head up, drop or two in the side of the mouth, let baby swallow, breathe and go again?

Mom may not like it but if she has no milk this baby needs 1-2 mL every hour right now.

She's not bleeding enough to where shes dripping its enough that when she sits down she leaves a small spot... like I said the kitten does latch on & My dad wasn't able to get a syringe so I'm using a bottle and I give it about 1/4 teaspoon since the bottle doesn't measure in mL

Offer the baby more to drink.

I think it's worth noting that milk can and will come in before a cat is done giving birth. I had one give birth to the last kitten 12 hours after she delivered the others and they were eating during that time. Any way you can post a pic of her belly?

Okay sorry i didn't let you all know before but I was busy... anyways! I took Katana to the vet & got her checked & she is perfectly fine.. she actually only had a litter of 2 & she does have milk.. bt i guess since she only has 1 kitten it doesn't come down the same as it would if she had more.

As much as I hate this and wish it wasn't true... I have bad news.. little Kiara died earlier. She was cold when I checked on her and I hurried to get her warm but I guess it was already too late.....

This is sad. I'm sorry you lost the baby. I believe it needed more milk. I hope your cat is doing better.

She was looking for her baby & I let her see Kiara so she would know that she was dead & she recognized Kiara's scent bt then she seemed to be looking for a kitten that was alive... I've calmed her down & now she's sleeping

She will probably continue to look for a couple more days.

I figure she will.. I just hope it doesn't affect her negatively in some way

I will continue to focus on Katana & my other cat Kohana, making sure they are healthy and as soon as I have the money & its okay I will get Katana spayed, hopefully some day the memories of this event will be helpful for me & when they are I'll know the reason this happened to me. I'm sure that all this happened for a reason even though it took 2 beautiful lives..
