My cat gave birth to four kittens last night without anyone knowing. This morning I went to find her and found her nest and this evening when she adjusted herself I found a kitten hidden under a towel. My sister used a dishcloth to pick up the kitten and noticed that it's tail wasn't fully formed. The other three kittens are doing fine but would the dead one be considered a stillborn or did Mama cat kill it?

I wouldn't necessarily say that, it may have been neither, there's a good chance with the scooting around they do, that it got under the towel and mom layed on it by accident.

Bedding in a nest can be tricky, as this can happen easily.

Sorry to hear.
