For those of you who haven't read my other posts, I adopted a new 2 year old female cat today who I named Butterscotch. I have to go back to the animal hospital some time tomorrow and sign the paperwork, but she is currently sleeping right next to me. She found her water bowl and her food and after she drank I took her over to the litter box to show her where it was. She didn't use it, but at least she knows where it is. I plan on keeping her in my room for now as the introduction process with my two 9 month old male siblings continues.

Here she is:

update:

All is good. Early this morning she used the litter box to pee in and then about 15 min ago she used it again and did both so all is good. I would say for only having her less then 24 hours everything has gone  very well.

Good girl!
  (your cat, not you)

Congratulations on the new addition--she's so cute.

Thanks. With her just getting here 24 hours ago and still getting over her spaying and getting use to her new environment I'm taking the introduction to my two 9 month old male siblings Tangerine and Mango slowly. My two boys have the run of the house and I currently have Butterscotch in my room. Thursday night when the adoption person came over for me to meet Butterscotch and make sure it was a good fit, she spent a couple hours then doing the beginning of the introduction process and Tangerine and Mango came over to her, but really didn't interact with her much and there wasn't any hissing or signs of aggression from them. Butterscotch just laid there being her cute self wanting her belly to be rubbed and really wasn't bothered either by them.

Obviously their energetic 9 month old kittens and she is a 2 year old very calm very laid back cat who loves to be petted and sit next to you or on your lap.
