Cat foaming from its mouth then stops.

I think for like 5 minutes my cat  was foaming/drooling from his/hers mouth. my mom then put water in her mouth and she stopped. any reason why? and no, i dont think its rabies.

The cat is only a kitten, it mostly just runs around and plays with its but sometimes tries to get into our food. so it might have been becuase she ate something.

Its possible she got hold of something that made her mouth foam. Keep a VERY close eye on her though - if she starts acting the slightest bit different than usual, get her to the vet asap.

If it was just drool (rather than actual foaming) then there are two other possibilities - some cats drool when they're really purry and extra happy. The other is that (depending on her age) she may be getting her adult teeth stating to come through.

i think she/he was faoming rather then drooling becuase there were bubbles. but ill keep checking on her just in case!

Ok. It might also be a good idea to go through the house and make certain the kitten can't set into anything she shouldn't. Kittens are remarkably ingenious at getting into trouble![article="22410"][/article][article="22401"][/article][article="0"][/article]
