I got my kitten from the breeder less than a month ago.  She went through a vet visit and they checked her for skin issues, health etc.

I notice now she has small areas of scabbing/flakiness and hair loss.  she seems mostly ok with it.  Scratches some of those spots infrequently.

Seems unlikely it would be parasites.  We just moved into a new home, and she is indoors only.

here is the pic of the biggest area of flakiness (her right pinky toe) any ideas?

I would get her to the vet for a check up.  It could be anything from food allergy to ringworm, though it doesn't look like ringworm.

I have an appointment to get her spayed in a week and a half.  Going to have them take a look at that time.  In the meantime should i switch her to a grain free diet?

You can try that.  Be sure to transition slowly if you feed dry.  Canned doesn't require the gradual transition.

Didyou put anything on that spot?  It looks so strange.  A perfect circle, which WOULD seem like ringworm, but white?  Even dry, flaky skin on a cat doesn't usually look like that
.  And she has more than one of these spots?

In the meantime, before your Vet visit, one thing you might could try is putting some Coconut Oil on them.  Coconut Oil is supposed to be healing, and can be given both internally or used externally, so shouldn't hurt if she likes it off.  But might help, especially since it's an OIL, so I would think would help with the dryness, if nothing else

Cats with grey skin/dark coats usually have white on their ringworm spots in my experience. Especially on their feet and toes. Looks like ringworm to me. It'll probably spread of it is, so make sure you wash bedding more often until her appointment.
