What's your leo one like?I have my ears pierced. I had 4 in each, I have no idea how many are still open but last time I tried they all were. I have 2 tattoos, a memorial for my dad and the leo symbol. I'm planning a new one and hoping to get it soon. I'm getting both of my kids newborn footprints with their names.
I'm needle phobic where blood tests are concerned...............:lol3:Pierced ears - 3 in each, but I only ever use the first ones now. I've thought about tattoos, but have never been able to settle on a design. Also, I'm both needle-phobic and don't heal well, so that puts me off a bit.
Just a small leo symbol that looks kind of faded. I hate both of the tattoos I have and need to get them fixed. What's your leo one like?
I was the first one of my siblings to get a tattoo. I was still living at home. I never discussed it (or tattoos in general) with my parents because quite frankly I really couldn't care less what they thought. It was my body and my money (I've had a job since age 14) and I could do what I wanted with it. My mom wasn't thrilled but she thought it was pretty. I will never forget when dad found out about it though. I was up in my room and he came barreling up the stairs, threw the door open and bellowed "DO YOU HAVE A TATTOO??" at me. I just said "Yes". He said "Oh. What does it look like?"It was on my shoulder blade, I showed it to him and he said OK and left the room. All that fanfare for nothing. Tattoos are great for getting over a needle phobia that's for sure.
When I was younger and even more foolish than I am now (that's hard to believe), I went through a punk rock phase, and put extra ear lobe holes in--using a large safety pin, and I'd wear the pin as an earring. It doesn't hurt, but they do get infected. Don't try this at home, kids!
I now only have one piercing in each lobe. Mom wouldn't let me get my ears pierced: "If God intended you to have holes in your ears, you'd be born with them." I always wanted to say to her," Well, about about that glass of wine you always have in your hand?"--but never did! I sneaked into my room, and pierced my own ears with a safety pin, just to be rebellious.
I've always wanted a tattoo, but I have hyper-sensitive skin. I'm also afraid I'll tire of the tattoo. I'd love to have something that incorporates a black jaguar cat and hummingbirds (the jag is my favorite wild cat, and the hummingbirds are in honor of my mother, who died a few years ago. However, she disapproved of tattoos,l even on my brothers, so she wouldn't like that!).
My BFF has probably a dozen or more; including some large pieces, and she still gets nervous before medical procedures involving needles.
