Let me just start that I have 2 cats Aaron and Chester both boy cats, and also I have 2 litter boxes that I clean every other day they stay pretty clean. For some odd reason my cats have started sneaking in my room and go in the laundry room to pee on any clothes clean or dirty they see. I don't know how to stop this behavior I usually keep all of the bedroom doors closed and bathroom closed because of the behavior issue I've been having . Every time one of them get caught they flee the scene like they know it's a bad thing. [emoji]128529[/emoji][emoji]128529[/emoji][emoji]128529[/emoji]

are you scopping the litter box daily ? or every 2nd day ?  .. if you have 2 cats you need 2 littler boxes in differet part of the house.

Also i would recommend swithc over to this brand for the time being as it will attract them to the boxes.. give it a shot

Yes I usually scoop the 2nd day , and I have 2 litter boxes Chester just likes to use Aaron's litter box too. Do you think I need a 3rd litter box?

No i would suggest change the litter to the brand i suggested and see how it goes..... get rid of old litter and use that please. Usually they just use 1 but good to have 2 always accd to the number of cats.   Also throw away litter every 10 days and put in fresh.

are they neutered ?

Where my cats are
It wouldn't hurt to add a third box; but first I suggest daily cleaning.  Some cats do not like to pee where there is poo.  This behavior can develop over time (which happened here with one of my girls).

Another thing to consider is that cats who have had urinary tract infections sometimes associate the litter box with pain and will search for a softer spot to go.  So it isn't a bad idea to consult your vet.  If there is an infection behind a behavior; treating it from a behavioral standpoint won't help.

The litter attract is a good idea  But I've also heard people say they have to be diligent about not leaving clothing or soft items on the floor.  Be sure you use a good enzyme cleaner to clean up where they have gone.  If they can smell it; they may be drawn back.

Good luck!!

You should be scooping daily.
Don't mean to be piggy backing off your comment, but I agree with the daily scooping. I'm probably guilty of over scooping as I check boxes three or four times a day or when I hear the scratching of the cat litter sound especially the one in the corner of my master bed room.

You can piggy-back all you want. :-)
Better too much than too little.

I saw a statement in one of the strings on this site but I can't find it again, therefore I'm going to address it here. The person writing the post mentioned that you should not use bleach to clean your cat box because it can pit the plastic and make it harder to eliminate odors.

Actually, the best reason for not using bleach is that the BLEACH AND THE AMMONIA IN CAT LITTER can combine to give off toxic fumes, which are lethal. We hear about that with laundry, and people who breathe fumes from a mixture of the two often end up in the hands of the paramedics or the hospital. I did it once after rinsing but not scrubbing the box first and found out the hard way, so I can attest to the fact that IF it happens, you are setting yourself up for a very dangerous situation. It might work to use bleach after thoroughly cleaning/scrubbing the box with hot, soapy water and thoroughly rinsing it, but whenever it comes to mixing anything containing ammonia you should should NEVER use bleach. The bleach should always be cleaned out thoroughly if you use it.

One more reason for not using bleach is that you may like the smell but your cat may not. If that happens, he/she may stop using the box. Cats can be really perplexing. I also noted that I think the litter that works best is the one they'll use. I spent megabucks trying all the "best" litters, only to find that my "problem" cat only likes the cheaper one. I found out when I was at the grocery store one day, NEEDED littler and was short on funds. So I bought a small bag of one of the cheaper ones. I was surprised at how fact the cats took to it. I haven't changed it since, and we're all happy.

And last, I will not use litter made in China, mainly because they have produced some very troubling products, including food, kid's jewelry, items using unacceptable levels of lead, and numerous other things. Since the litter is used often and their feet are, at times "bathing" in it, I'm more comfortable using one made elsewhere. Just my take on that issue.
