You should be feeding them Kitten Milk Replacer (KMR).  It has vitamins and nutrients the kittens need.  You can find it at pet stores and walmart.  Pet Ag is good, avoid Hartz an Seargents brands.  Get the powdered form not the liquid.  You can also try some plain yogurt.

The kittens need to be warm to eat and so does the formula.

For the skinny kittens, put a smear of light karo syrup or liquid hone on the gums or lips and try to feed them.

If you don't have access to KMR, goat's milk is good too. No cow's milk. too much lactose for those little tummies. A heating pad set on low under a blanket in the nest is good to keep them warm until they are able to regulate their body temperatures on their own. Where is the mother cat? She's not there? I'm going to tag in some more of our kitten experts for assistance. Goat's milk can be found in supermarkets near the soy milk, almond milk. etc in the US.

Kitten Milk Replacement (KMR) can be found in pet stores and Wal Mart in the pet section. It is basically like baby formula but made specifically for kittens. As mentioned, the powdered form is better but all you can find is canned liquid, that is OK. Pet Ag is a very common and good brand. I'd also avoid the Hartz and Sargeants brands. Cat milk is not KMR. This is used as a treat usually for adult cats.

You need to feed the kittens who are struggling every single hour with a 1mL syringe. You need to feed 2-4 mL at a time. You may or may not be able to save the very weak ones, as newborns go downhill quickly, but of course try!

The kittens with their eyes open are at least a week old and can take a bottle, but if not they need to be syringe-fed as well every 2 hours. Try giving 4-6 mL at each feeding to these kittens.

You need to get a weight on each kitten so we can tell you exactly how much to feed. Do you have a kitchen scale?

You need a heat source for the kittens as well. Either a heating pad set on low under a blanket, or a hot water bottle wrapped in a towel, or a sock filled with raw rice, microwaved for 5 minutes, and wrapped in a towel and placed nearby. The kittens need to be able to move away from the heat source if they become too warm.

Please care for the weak ones first, and give us an update later. Wishing you well.

I agree.  Keep them warm - ie actively warming up.  Get them something better than soya milk - a good kmr (there are many brand, although this by PetAg is best), goat milk is a good alternative., or plain full fat youghurt if you dont find anything else.

If you can find RAW goat milk, its the best, next mom milk, but it may be difficult to get, and is often pricey.

A trick to give some extra energy to the very weak ones, whom are becoming lethargic, is to smear some glucose sugar on their lips and gum.  A couple of drops, literally.  The brand name is dextrose.   If you dont find it, glucose syrup, white caro syrup, or even honey  are good.   The glucose sugar in there goes direclty into blood alredy in the mouth...

The weak ones are probably dehydrated too. so they need more water. Best is some sort of pedialyte, bough or home made.   If you buy, try to get a flavorless, clear pedialyte for babies, but almost any pedialyte is OK.    Its also possible to make homemade pedialyte.

Give a couple of drops between the feedings.

No baths!

Did you get the KMR?

Did you try putting honey or Karo syrup on the lips and gums of the one who is giving up? Directly after doing this you give some KMR in the syringe.

If this kitten is giving up completely then you need to comfort it while it passes.

Also give the other struggling kitten the honey boost right before feeding.

If you can't get KMR into these two they will surely die.

You really do need to get the proper formula and a heat source going.

NO BATH!!!! They aren't strong enough. They need to stay warm now. Did you get the KMR? They really do need this if they are going to survive. Are there any rescue groups near you that might be able to take them from you? They might have a lactating queen who will nurse them. if they don't, they will have the KMR and other needed items handy.

Why are you thinking on perhaps giving them baths?     Its true its highly dangerous, but what is the need?

Just keep trying to get that formula into them with the syringe and keep them warm. If you need help finding a rescue organization, please tell us what part of Cali you're in and we will help you. Good luck. I hope that they are OK. Please keep us posted. Thank you for caring about these babies.
