DOH!

On screen keyboard!! I forgot all about that.

I'm not sure whether there's any available online to download freely. I know that I have one as part of my operating system. I have Windows XP. It's in Start -> Program -> Accessories -> Accessibility -> On-screen keyboard.

Well, you could use 'key caps' (in the Apple menu on OS9 and earlier) and copy and paste the text.

Just drying out the keyboard will not always fix the problem because sweetners in drinks can make the keys stick would be better to replace than try to fix if you don't now the ins and outs of electronics.

You have to look to see if they have any in stock. You can also buy used one. But, check around to different places to get the lowest prices.

Good luck.

I'm not sure what your keyboard is really like inside, but I know I had to disconnect mine and take it apart. My attempt to naturally air dry it without taking it apart wasn't enough. If you've already tried that, try it again because it still just isn't dry enough. Water is a natural conductor and it is carrying more than one key signal at a time wherever the moisture is intersecting the signal routes for a key press. There are a number of those flexible routing layers in your keyboard. If you are careful, you can sort of peel them off each other to get more air exposure. Good luck!

For $15.00 you can buy a new one and then everyone can read your posts without having to decipher every word.
