Bad breath usually indicates poor dental health. Your new cat may have some dental issues like gingivitis or resorptive lesions or something. Ask the vet to take a look at your cat's teeth. It also wouldn't hurt to have bloodwork done and make sure there isn't a medical condition going on.

I agree with LTS3 about the possibility of a mouth/tooth problem. It's particularly worth asking the vet about testing for Bartonella, the same bacterium that causes cat scratch fever: it's very common, carried by fleas, and, though a bit controversial, thought to cause mouth problems in cats. Beyond the ickiness of bad breath, it's good to figure this out early so you don't end up with expensive dental cleanings!

(We found out about Bartonella because our cats both had gingivitis--and one also had very bad breath as a kitten--and our vet tested them. They were both positive and their little mouths are doing much better after antibiotics and daily tooth brushing.)

Good luck!

Thank you both so much. We have a date today with vet so ill ask her to check it out. Sad now he cant enjoy his cream with me in the mornings heheh

One last thing. For my dog u use Tropiclean Fresh Breath made easy and it WORKS lol is it unsafe for cats? As they drink mostly from one bowl...they are all very fond of my dog.

Thank you all again :)
