Could someone shed some 'light' on this please!!

I posted about one of my cats maybe more than one ingesting some foil from a cat meat stick treat. It looks like about a 2 inch square piece of the foil with some more on another place. Of course this is not in one piece that he would have eaten it but would be in tiny bites.

My concern is now that I can't tell that he has passed all of this. I have only seen one piece of foil in his stool. Of course I could have missed some. I have been giving him cat-lax every day and canned food and he is not acting sick. But I am really concerned that this could end up staying in his intestines and later cause problems.

I really can't afford to go to the vet for an x-ray if I don't have to and I don't know what it would help anyway. I guess I am just wondering if anyone would have any information or guess if it takes a long time for something like this to pass out through his stool and anything else I could do.

It is my understanding that things pass through a kitties digestive system really quickly.  You would know by now if there is an obstruction, kitties with an obstruction are vomiting and are not having BMs.  I think either he passed the rest of it and you missed it or he only ate what he has passed.
