My two kittens Loki and Poof have gone missing, I haven't seen them since this morning when I fed them. I searched all over the barn yard and in a few barns and sheds even ones they don't go into, nothing. I called them several times in the field and barns no response or movement other than the other cats. The only kitten I found was Friendly, and she's recovering from distemper, the other two don't seem to have it as of yet. I plan on searching again maybe give them a night, but if they got lost in the field can they still find a way back?

I'm sorry to hear of your situation. I dont recall how old my 1 yrd was when he got lost. He probably followed his mother out the window and got separated from her. after 2 days and nights of me searching and expecting the worst, he showed up at my door starving. I must have been 9-11 weeks old at the time.

My suggestion besides looking, is to put some dry food at different locations outside then check on them periodically. If any of them get touched, it might narrow your search. The alternative is not putting food and forcing your kitten to look for home when his belly is growling.

Good luck with the search and let us know either way.

I was meaning to post yesterday but never got around to it. The kittens came back, though right now one of them disappeared again but I think it will come around the evening like it did last time. I don't know where they like to hide now but they still worry me especially when it is distemper season. Friendly is doing better, but still seems a little under the weather, our alpha female cat just gave birth to three maybe four kittens today as well. Though I wonder this I have this female 2 yr old cat that seems to have a habit of disappearing, sometimes she is gone for the mourning, sometimes for the whole day. Now my theory is that she is trying to get pregnant again, she already had probably had three miscarriages and one litter that died within three weeks. Its either that or she just like males that are not her brothers.
