I need help

We found 7 Kittens in our backyard the are very young around 2 months they are clean and aren't to thin or chubby. We gave them some food but they are to scared to let us touch them but the have let us come very close. We don't want to call anybody because my mom says that they would put all 7 kittens in a small cage and if they don't get a home they would put them down. We want to put posters up. We don't know if they are stray we think they were born in our old shed but we aren't sure. We saw the mother twice but both times she was hurt now we think she might be dead. Were very worried.

We think the mother might have breaded with two other males because the kittens are very different but they stay together. Today we recorded some footage of one of the kittens but we don't know where the others are. Today we Saw the same one by itself but they stay together. We are worried something might have happened to them. We followed the same kitten and it ran into the spot we saw its mother hurt. We think they might be hiding there.

Thank you for your time.

The kittens sound like they were born to a feral mother - which is why they are not too friendly to you.  You should really try to soiclize them some before finding homes - otherwise, they won't be very suitable housecats.  They are still young enough for this.

Do you have a room you can use to bring them inside so you can work with them?  I would say that it might be better if you find help - either a foster group or friends who can take some.  Socializing is intensive and trying to socialize seven kittens may be overwhelming for one person.

They may be the results of two fathers but they may also be two completely different litters with two moms.  Feral cats do support and help one another.

In any case, try to contact a rescue group or no-kill shelter.  If nothing else, they may be able to lend you traps and/or crates.  They may also be able to help with spaying and neutering the kittens.  You DO NOT want to find homes for them without this critical step.  Cats given away unfixed often end up outside, reproducing again and again.  Its a tough life.

Thank you for taking on this challenge.

Thank you. I already have someone saying they will take one. I do have a room its in my basement. I do have some people. My friend and my mother and father will be able to help. I will try to find a good trap and I read about that if you put some of your clothes they can get your smell and get used to our smell. I will try another thread. Thank you again.

Please continue feeding the kittens a few times a day in the meantime. Kittens need lots of food. The more you feed them and sit nearby the less afraid they will become. Good luck! :)
