I bought some meat sticks for my cat on last Wednesday that are wrapped in this foil type wrapping. Somehow I must have left it down to where they got into them and it looks like a good bit of the foil covering was eaten. I am pretty sure I know which cat did this.

Since then I have been giving him extra cat lax and canned food hoping it would all pass out. I have seen one piece of foil in his stool.  I haven't broken apart his other feces to examine them so maybe more has come out. I have three cats and pretty much can tell whose poops are whose if I am not here.

Any suggestions on what else I could do? He is eating well and not acting sick. I am worried some could get blocked in his intestines but I don't know if that would have already happened by now.

Thanks for any help and support.

If he started vomiting, not pooping, or became lethargic or acted off in any way that would be a clear sign that there is a problem.  If everything seems ok, you can probably watch and wait but if you're concerned, call your vet.

He seems to be doing fine. I am assuming he was the one that ate it. One of my other cats I have to be careful because he eats things but he didn't like these meat treat sticks anyway.

I did see a small piece of 'foil' in some poop a few days ago but he could have passed more and I haven't seen it. I keep giving him cat-lax for hairballs twice a day and more canned food than normal hoping that something else worse won't develop.

He hasn't had any vomiting. So maybe he will be fine. I just could kick myself for being so careless. I really don't remember leaving them down where they could get to them.

Thanks for your concern!!
