My Egyptian Mau Shahara Zahd (nicknamed ZahZoo) is my last surviving kitty, and she is 14. She had 2 seizures last Friday. She cried out in pain, shook a little, coughed, and wet the bed. I know I should have taken her to the vet that day but I was afraid it would scare her and I admit that I was terrified. 5 years ago she broke her ankle and it took $3,000, surgery, 2 casts, a great deal of pain and 6 months for her to recover. I got so upset Friday that I lost my mind, I really did.

In the past, ZahZoo has had an allergie related cough so I didn't notice anything strange at first. She is spoiled rotten with "Whiskas" treats which she eats with cans of wet food, or yes, tuna. Zoo always drinks a great deal of water and before the treats she ate mostly dry food. Now of course I'm giving her the dry cat food only (no treats). This last attack has left her exhausted and I think she must have had heart attacks. I'm hoping it has to do with her thyroid instead but I doubt it. Regardless, for her sake she has to go to the vet on Monday.

Recently my other kitty Jordan passed away from non related cancer. That has left me heartbroken and devastated. I really hope someone here will respond to tell me anything else they can think of that my little Zoo could have. Or just tell me that you think it's her heart [emoji]128148[/emoji]

I think the only way to know what is going on is with a complete workup at the vet's.  It really could be any number of things some of them neurological.  It could be something is off chemically including but not limited to thyroid.  I hope you get to the bottom of this and it is something easily treated.

I hope so too. Seeing her laying down like that, with a sad expressionless face worries me. I'm afraid she is suffering
