I have two cats who have 4 kittens each and the kittens are almost already weaned, but the mama cats steal the food from them and push them away even though they've already eaten. Should I feed the kittens separate so that they can eat in peace?

Yes, you need to feed the kittens separately.

Nursing moms can be quite hungry. Are you sure you are feeding the moms enough food?

Do you leave dry food down for them to nibble at will?

Yes since they've been pregnant ive left out a bowl of dry food for them to eat instead of getting rid of food after the scheduled feeding time. But I will feed them separate since they are starting to refuse the kittens to suckle
