Pigeon footed cat?

I just adopted a cat from the shelter and when I got home I realized his front paws stick out funny when he sitting or walking but when he's laying down or there's no pressure on this paws then they look fine! I don't know if he's in pain or not because we just got him yesterday!! His front legs start to curve right above the knee and go down to his feet. Should I take him to the vet? Is there a name for it?

I've heard of something called "cow hocked" and that it rarely causes problems but in some cases is connected to future hip displasia.  In your cat's case i have no idea, but it wouldn't hurt to see a vet at least when you have an annual exam,
