I know! Her little big paws are the cutest! lol, I have to hiss at her when she takes them to my face though! I've clipped them a little. She likes to bite my lip to. I just hiss at her and she stops! lol

She is not sleeping in the bed yet! I have tried. I put her in there with me and she plays and cuddles a little and then she hops back down and goes and gets in her carrier! It is the cutest thing to watch her trot in there to lay with and nibble on her frog toy, but I hope that soon she will realize she can sleep in the bed with us too! I wrapped her up in a burrito the other night and she fell asleep on me in the bed for a little bit. I think if I keep doing that, she'll start realizing she can come sleep with mommy and daddy too. I took her frog toy out to wash it and you could tell she nibbles on each one of his legs and arms! I died laughing, lol!

Aww. Her little frog toy. Mommy, don't wash it too much! She feels safe in her carrier. Bless her little tiny heart. Plenty of time to sleep with mommy and daddy when she gets bigger! She likes her own little bed for now with her froggy! :)

I finally got her to sleep with me! LOL, I had to move my pillow and cover to the floor, but she snuggled with me for two hours. She would stretch out and purr through her sleep. I felt very honored that she resisted her carrier for me!

She's just precious!

I'm glad to hear she's eating her food so well and not looking for her bottle.

She has been sleeping with us every night now and is eating great at every meal. I'm thinking today may be the day that she is completely weaned off of her milk, but a part of me still wants to buy one more can to keep on hand. lol, she's been doing really well with less and less incorporated in her meals, being replaced with more water. What do you guys think?

She is also weighing in at a whopping 19.8oz (561g) this morning as well. It's crazy to believe how tiny she was when I got her two weeks ago today!

She sounds like she is doing just fine with her weaning! It's gone really fast!

You might want to keep a can of KMR in the freezer, along with a spare bottle in the cupboard. You never know who might show up next, and then you're prepared :).

Thanks so much everyone! She is blossoming so much! and now weighs 22.6oz! and guess what?! She already has a new brother. I don't want to go off topic, but I wanted to share with you guys who have been helping me with Gravity, Sparrow, and Anna!

Long story short, I was fostering this 5 month old kitten after he was tossed out onto a dirt road. I found what I thought was his loving furever home, and as of Friday he is now back in my care PERMANENTLY after suffering a broken humerus, a 106.2 fever, and several lacerations all over his body, and they took him to Animal Control in this condition of all places and then called me, lying saying they were going to and when I said no, I want to take him back, they told me they already took him there! I stressed 3 weeks ago when they took him, to please call me if anything came up or they had a problem, no questions asked!?!? His vet bill is $1,100 but they luckily let me sign a contract to pay it within a month and I made a $100 down payment and they are fixing him all up! He had horrible infection and has to have surgery! It was either that or euthanizing him and there was no way! They say a dog attacked him, but I don't even know, they lied to me so much all in all! I hope Anna will love her new brother, along with my other cats who are probably about ready to plot my murder, along with my husband! LOL! <3

Oh my word! That's terrible - poor kitty! I sure hope he heals well and quickly. Thank goodness you have him back. That was painful to read about.

How is he now? Is his overall prognosis good for getting healthy again?

Yes! They finally got his fever down to 103 and are shooting for a Monday surgery. His activity level will have to be completely restricted for weeks after surgery, so he will be set up in my bathroom instead of a carrier. He is supposed to make a full recovery. <3

Poor little guy. Right when he needs to be just playing like a normal kitten. I wonder what in the world those people did to him?

At least he has a good prognosis. When do you bring him home after surgery?

I am hoping Tuesday or Wednesday! I am not sure what they did! I was reading up on humerus breaks in cats and it is VERY rare! Just awful. He is such a sweet baby. I won't ever trust anyone again. They came off so nice and sweet. We had talked forever about cats she had in the past, ones she has now, etc... and  Even though he was in such pain and had such a high fever, when he saw me at animal control, he rolled over to show me his belly, purred, and meowed at me. I am so glad I was able to get him back to show him what true love is supposed to be like!

That poor kitten.  At least they called you and gave you a chance to rescue him again.  Does he have a name yet?

I named him Oliver the first day he was with me when I fostered him. It just fits so well, so it stays! ^_^

Poor Oliver.  What a horrible thing to happen to him. Thankfully they called and told you so you were able to rescue him.   I wonder what happened to him, though likely I don't want to know.

She is eating the mush really good pretty much at every feeding now and then we go with her bottle. They did confirm she had no worms or any other intestinal parasites, just bacterial infection going on and hopefully this will do the trick. I am glad I took her too. I don't think they got enough poop from her last time with the fecal probe...they only got a teeny tiny pinch from her and I really didn't think it was enough to show is anything was really going on. I took in a hefty sample to be sure! lol :) My kitties haven't met her yet, but so far they are being okay through the doors!

I am STILL trying to get them! I hardly EVER see them at all! When I do, all I have to do is look at them and they run into the insulation of that trailer. I have not seen them in two days, but that is not unusual. They are harder to catch than the adults! I just trapped and spayed one, she is in my bathroom recovering for the next day or two. She lets me pet her sometimes, but other times she goes wild. I try to come in and out as calmly as possible. I feed her a couple of houses down and have been wanting to get her fixed for some time! I have 10 more I need to get fixed and then this whole colony will finally be controlled! We have already fixed about 15 of them. We have a grant for just a little while right now, with a really good local vet that cares for ferals and will spay/neuter any ferals for $10 and tip their ear, with it totaling just $20 for extra pain medication. So, it is all a work in progress, but it is working, under the radar. I hate our city has yet to accept TNR! I have a petition going to the city council and am mailing a letter to them as well...I have gotten 225 signatures over night!
This is a fantastic thing you are doing. In a years time, 1 unspayed female can easily turn into 100 new cat. Each unaltered male can make 100's of kittens. Add up all those kittens that aren't going to be on the streets and filling up shelters. thank you
