For those who followed Gravity's story...man do I have a weird surprise for you? Today is one month since Gravity got sick and ultimately, passed away...

Someone messaged me on facebook because they found one kitten in their yard...and they have two pit bulls and had no idea what to do. I urrgently asked them to meet me with the kitten...and when she handed her to me, I had to hold back little tears. I was in shock. I was just updating on facebook a few hours before, on it being one month since Gravity got sick.

Well, have a look for yourself at who she looks like.

It is the craziest feeling ever. She FEELS like Gravity. I tried gruel for the heck of it...mushed wet premium kitten food and kitten formula... and she is going to town on it (note to self: use newspaper/towel next time! LOL). I misplaced my scale somehow, so I am on the hunt for it to weigh her, but she is heavier than any kitten I've handled the past few months. I can tell you that much. I am in so much shock. She is a 3 week old Gravity twin. My husband didn't believe me when I called him. He had to see for himself and then he just smiled so much. This is crazy.

She's sooo cute! Gravi must have sent you another kitten to love! Congratulations! Do let us know her name as soon as you decide (no rush though)

Guys, on another note, is it just me or does her left eye (pictured right) look a little odd?
I hope it's shadows and I'm just seeing things!

Golly doodle it's a Gravity look alike for sure! Bless its little hungry heart - and from your pictures, it looks like this baby is starving!

There's no way this baby is more than 3 weeks old - but its weight is real good. Its little ears are not quite all the way up. Who could put this precious baby out?

Does it even have its baby teeth all the way in yet? I just love the way it's stepping in its food - the better to get more, Mommy! [emoji]10084[/emoji]️

This is too sweet! I think you are the "kitten whisperer" and Gravity is sending all babies to you.

Where is this baby sleeping tonight? With you, or in Gravity's bed? I'll bet this baby would love a bottle to suck on too. And some hot water bottles to cuddle, and a stuffed toy. You are blessed ... So is this baby! [emoji]128149[/emoji]

@MagiksGirl  she had her head tilted and slightly back as well, so her eye is appearing larger in this photo! I also didn't want to use the flash, so it looks dark, but her eyes look completely normal outside of this photo and a pretty blue! I will definitely let you guys know her name asap! :)

@sarthur2  I will tell you one thing, she has an appetite! I have gotten her to latch onto the bottle twice, but I have been offering it every feeding. She prefers me to pour a small amount at a time in a saucer and she lap it up...she does not want to suckle at all, but I always try. She kind of suckles my fingers, but she licks and gnaws on them more...and she does have some baby teethies! I definitely feel them she bites down on me. She's so cute, she even BITES the saucer her food is in. lol

She chows down on the gruel I make and then I offer some more milk a little at a time while she is getting more use to licking her liquids. She gets mad at me when I keep trying with the bottle, but after I sit her down, rewarm it, and put some in the shallow saucer, she goes to town on it! lol, I am assuming that is a really good sign?

I told hubby she needs to stop being so independent and let me bottle feed her for a while! lol, I will continue to keep offering it in the bottle each feeding though.

Question though, I have been stimulating before and after feedings just to be on the safe side and she does pee every time. When I got her, of course it was really yellow, but now it looks just as it should! When the lady handed her over, there was pee in her box and I know this is around the time they begin to start going on their own, so am I doing right by continuing to help after feedings?

Any other 3-week old care tips are greatly appreciated! :) I am feeding her every 3-4 hours right now because I don't know how her condition was before I got her, however I am VERY pleased with her weight. So glad I got her because it has been storming like crazy in my city all day long.

She is sleeping in a cozy set up I have in our bathroom because it is the warmest room in the house. I sanitized everything in there and set her up in a big plastic carrier with heating pad on one side, some towels, and a warm water bottle and stuffed animals for added comfort. I go in often and check on her.  She eats outside of the carrier every time and I let her walk around for a bit. When I put her in front of the carrier, she walks right in and goes to the back where I have the heating pad and settles down, so I am assuming she is doing okay there.

Hubby just sleeps with the AC unit on in the bedroom and I feel it is a little too chilly. My bathroom stays warm.

Bathroom setup sounds great! Does she have a cuddle toy?

Well isn't she just Little Miss Independent to want to lap her milk from the saucer? I thought she might find comfort in sucking the bottle since she's clearly so young, but she's got a streak in her! I'd keep offering the bottle though, just in case.

You will need to give her a little litter pan. What with eating mush, she'll need one. I'd give her warm wet cloth rubdowns to simulate a cleaning from mama though, as she probably isn't good at cleaning herself right now. You probably don't need to stimulate her for potty anymore since she's eating on her own.

She sounds like she's about ready to raise herself - very unusual amount of independence for one so young. She's probably on high alert right now though, and will settle down and let you mother her more in the coming days.

I'm just tickled pink over this little gal! [emoji]128525[/emoji]

Oh, and continue with feeding her every 3-4 hours. She needs it. Leave some food outside her carrier tonight unless you plan to get up with her during the night. She doesn't need to go 8 hours without eating or drinking! :)

Yes, I have two little stuffed animals in there with her! :)

I know, I am shocked at how much she wants to do on her own. I do wipe her down with a damp warm cloth after she gets finished eating and she LOVES it! She was standing up so good while she was eating her gruel tonight and lapping up her formula. I have a little litter box with all natural non-clumping litter with her as well and am going to begin working with her with it.

I thought she would love the bottle to. I have been changing out from three different nipples just to see if she has a preference, but she fusses and keeps trying to back away every time, besides those two times I did get her to finally give in to me! lol, it's like she was like "alright mama, if you will leave me alone, I'll do it for a few seconds!" but as soon as a put some in a saucer, she is all kinds of happy!

I've been spending a lot of time today cuddling and petting her as she waddles around and I can already tell she has come around more since this morning and is beginning to enjoy her pettings. She'll perk her little body up, purr some, and turn back around for more lovings.

I will be getting up through the night to feed her and give her some cuddles! Already have my alarms set. :) I have a test I am taking online tonight for my new college so I'll be up a bit later than I usually am. I just got accepted in a vet tech program, by the way! I felt it was fitting for my life! Now when it comes to saved kittens, my excuse is "hands on training, mom!" when I call to tell her I saved a cat! lol

After everything I've been through with Gravity, then Sparrow...I hope this baby keeps on keeping on.

I will continue to update about her and how she is doing, along with some pictures, and any questions I have. Thanks so much for always being here guys!

Aww - I'm just loving every bit of this. Please give us more pictures tomorrow. I can't wait to hear more about her personality and her big girl doings. I just can't get over how big she thinks she is!

Vet tech - that is right up your alley! Is the program at a school nearby? You may have found your calling.

I'm glad you'll be getting up with her. She needs you even if she won't admit it. Extra bonding time too!

And about Gravity and Sparrow and now this one - they say the third time's a charm ;).

Good luck with your test tonight!

I'm actually going to San Juan College in New Mexico in the Distance Learning Vet Tech Program! There are so many rave reviews about that program so I decided to go for it. I have to find a placement site (vet's office) by next semester to do my clinical work in and video tasks and I'll have to travel to Texas early 2017 for a 3-day study and then I graduate. I am really excited about it all!

I most definitely will! I have been so amazed by her! I was so nervous when I seen she seriously wanted to lap her formula up instead of from the bottle. I figured I'd try it for the heck of it since she was licking my fingers and giving me such a fight about the bottle and she went straight to it. I feel like maybe she grew up outside and perhaps began lapping up water early or something, I don't know! I'm clueless about her grown-girl mentality!

I thing taking classes and becoming a vet tech is a great idea.  And your area will have someone with tiny kitten experience!

You can't over feed a kitten.  How much does she weigh?  Remember 8 ml/cc per ounce of weight over 24 hours.  She could also be catching up.  You don't know how much/little she was eating before.
