Inside 4 month old female. Started with high fever Lil to no food, water. Lethargic. Took to vet. Negative on hiv and leukemia, dewormed.no apparent signs of a reason. Did adopt 2 other young kittens from shelter about a week before. They were fixed and had shots and healthy. Anyway no apparent reason for fever so vet have a shot and i am giving amoxicillon orally twice a day. Encouraging water and cat formula several times a day. She will take a bite or 2 of food but not much. My question is i think i should see improvement by now. If i took her Monday and it's now thursday. She still is weak and sleeping day and night and feels like she still running fevers... Any ideas on what is going on

Well that's good that there is no vomiting or diarrhea with the fever, it may just be an infection of unknown cause.  Distemper involves fever, vomiting, diarrhea and sometimes seizures.  Your cat sounds less sick then that which is good.  Hopefully it will clear up soon.
