Thank goodness for olive oil, we are pooping again!! My son couldnt figue out what we were all yelling about and it was because both kittens pooped at the same time.  He said he thought we won the lottery.

I really think the poop problem was because we switched from ready to feed formula to powered formula.  Ready to feed is getting a little expensive since these girls are eating so much now!!!

This so far has been a wonderful experience for my entir family.

Hurray for pooping!

We recommend the powdered formula over the pre-mixed for many reasons, but a dietary change inevitably seems to affect bowel habits in felines.

It's so nice to hear how much your family appreciates and enjoys the kitten experience :).

Hey guys!! We are still doing great with the girls and they have finally mastered their bottles, no more syringes!! They are now 25 days old, and we got some canned baby kitten food, I want to try them on it but they still seem so young and I'm not sure how well they will do. Should we put it on a small plate and let them try to eat or do we hand feed it to them
I'm going to post some new pics too

I would wait until they are a full four weeks old, and mix the kitten pate with formula to make a mush. A flat plate like a paper plate works well when they are learning because they usually walk in it!

You can see if they go for it, but if not, letting them lick it from your finger helps.

Some kittens still want bottles during the transition as well. You'll need to play that by ear.

It's great they are doing well on their bottles now. You're getting there :).

Our girls at 5 weeks!!! I can't believe how much they've grown
Quick question, for how long do u need to stimulate them for pooping. We have a litter box Stevie( the grey one) uses it to pee
Nya (the black one) plays in it
I believe she is using it to pee also but haven't seen any poop, so we are still stimulating them

Once they begin eating mush they should be able to go on their own, which is around the age they are now.

I just wanted to give everyone an update on the girls. They are now six weeks old and loving life. I can not believe where we started from with them at 1 day old. I'd like to thank you guys for always being there to answer our questions! We couldn't have done it without you guys.

This is great to see! Rearing kittens are soooo hard, I myself have lost a few over the years so you're one of the lucky ones, well done :) They're adorable
