Hi everyone,
Ok, so here is some backstory:About a month ago, I took my 2 year old cat to the vet because he was acting very lethargic. When she got him to walk, he was walking in circles. She said his problems were neurological, so I took him to an ER that has a neurologist on staff. I took him home the next day with clindamycin and prednisolone, but had to take him back the next day due to seizures. They gave me phenobarbital to control the seizures. We just went back on Monday, and although my little guy is not back to normal yet (completely blind in 1 eye and partially blind in the other, weakness in his left front and back limbs) they said he had greatly improved. They took him off the clindamycin completely, but increased the phenobarbital.
Overall, I am happy that he is making progress. However, I have recently noticed that when he is lying or sitting, his left front paw is frequently bent strangely. He doesn't seem uncomfortable, but have any of you experienced this? Do you know of anything I could be doing to strengthen or (and I know this sounds strange but I don't know how else to word it) make him more aware of that paw?
Thanks so much!
