I joined back in March 2015 I think. Busy life here and just again came across this site. I think its a wonderful site for cat lovers. Which would be me. I love all animals but Cats have always been my fave. I helped put up our first animal shelter back in Michigan where I have lived most of my life. We had to fundraise and then build it. I was on the roof putting shingles on! Never thought I would ever put shingles on anything! :) I served on the BOD there as well for 3 years. Moved to Va and first became volunteer for Arlington Animal Shelter. Then we moved and I became involved with Shadow Cat Advocates. We are a feral cat rescue, TNR organization. We also have condo's at the local Petco in Stafford, Va so when we have kittens to rescue from feral Moms they can be adopted out. Currently I have 5 cats. Usually I don't have 5 but my old cat back in Michigan did not fare well with my X husbands gf my sons asked me to bring him here. He flew back with me last month. He is a red point-colorpoint shorthair. His transition is going great also I had taken my two oldest cats with me when I moved here 3 years ago. Last year they both passed away within months of each other. I have a rescue cat from a rescue group who looks like a ragdoll and acts like one, Bella. I have long haired black cat who is my favorite, he is such a love bug! His name is Diego. Earlier this year I went to our kill shelter here as they had two bengals that came in. They were gone by the time I got there. But in the sick room was a tiny mini kitty full grown at 5 pds. She was very sick and of course they gave me the tale of - "if she don't get better she will be put down"---so I scooped her up and got her better. Call her LC (little cat). She is my first gray kitty ever, she is grey and white. She was turned in for being to rowdy with the toddler---yeah right!! Sure it was the other way around!

Whew that got winded! I am a retired nurse and live with my new husband and a 5 pd Pom named "Q" because he was 1.7oz when we got him and he looked like a tiny Q-tip on the floor!  We also have a rescue dog named Ranger.

Hope to get to know some of you in the future! :)
