If she has been pushing for more than an hour now with no success you need to phone a vet or take her asap to an emergency vet.

There is usually a medical issue if kittens are not being delivered after this much pushing!

Time is of the essence here.

Keep us posted!

That's good news. :)

Did she finally push the first kitten out, or did you have to assist?

She is absolutely beautiful! :)

Five kittens - oh my! Was the first one breech? Or perhaps if this is her first litter she just needed extra time.

I'm sure you are relieved that everything is progressing smoothly now.

The kittens look like they are latching and nursing already, which is good.

Give mom as much wet food, dry food, and water as she wants now. She'll need it to nurse 5 babies. If she ate the placentas she may not be too hungry for a while, however.

Is that a pink blanket they are lying on?

She's stunning! I'm so happy you didn't have to walk through the vet's door! Well done family! [emoji]128512[/emoji] Looking forward to updates.

the first one came out tail first and im not too sure if this was her first litter the lady who gave her up to me didn't tell me much just wanted her gone i don't see why she's a very pretty girl.

@sarthur2  that is not a pink blanket unfortunately i made sure to give her a new bed with some clean sheets on it tho 5 placentas made the white cat bed pink

That's why I asked. It looked like blood, so I'm glad you've given her fresh linens :).

Aha, the first one was breech, and that's why she was having trouble. You're lucky she finally birthed it. Breech babies sometimes do not make it out alive when it takes too long to be born. I suspected this and that's why I was sending you for help. Glad you didn't need it.

It sounds like the lady who gave her to you did not want to deal with kittens. Sad, but you've got yourself a beautiful Siamese cat!

Stay with this thread to ask your questions as they come up while raising the kittens. And welcome to TCS! :)
