I used the arguments in this article to convince my husband to let me adopt two kittens rather than one.
 I'm hoping the litter box one will prove true soon.  They do use it, but not consistently.  I think they're too busy scrapping.  But they take that energy out on each other and I think it's making them pretty good playmates for my children.  I think one would be scratching and nipping my kids a whole lot more.

I have 8 currently. 4 older ones and 4 between 8 months and 2 years. I think 3 is better than 2.

Wow,8!  No way my husband would agree to that.  LOL Not sure I would either but I like my space and I think that would overwhelm my son (he has autism).  But I get the feeling that cats are kind of like tattoos.  You always want to get another one!
 I'm still high on new-kitten novelty but I'm sure the itch for another kitty will strike at some point.  Back when we were a one cat household (when our old cat was still alive) I would often get that itch.  I sometimes have daydreams about one day owning a purebred (like a Russian Blue...I'm rather picky about the purebreds and DSH are still my favourites).
