My cat recently got pregnant and she had her kittens about 9 days ago. She decided to have the kittens on a pille of insulation and for the past few days she has been trying to move them.

Today she tried moving the kittens and dropped one on the side of the insulation. I heard the kitten and went to try And get it... In the process I accidentally stepped on it. I was barefoot and I don't think I stepped on it that had but being as its so young I'm not shure. When I stepped on it it stoped crying. It was still moving regularly and breathing ok but it wasn't crying no more. I moved all her kittens to a house I made for them, I checked on it about 10 minutes after when the mama was in there and it was acting normal trying to nurce and moving around regularly.

I feel so bad and I don't know if it will be ok.i don't have money to bring it to the vet. Pls if you know any way to make shure it will be ok please let me know!

There is no way to know other than time. Just keep an eye on the kitten for now. If it suffered damage it will usually show up pretty quickly. For now it sounds like the kitten is managing to nurse. See what tomorrow brings.

I'm glad you got your cat and kittens into a safe place. Hopefully your cat will feel no need to move them again.

I know it feels awful to step on a kitten. Let's hope there's no permanent damage.

Sending prayers that your little one is okay. It is not uncommon at all for the tinies to get stepped on and as the previous post says, time will tell. Nursing is a good sign. Please keep us posted :)

the kitten appears fine... its nursing normal and behaving fine. i think mostly freaked out because after i stepped on it it had stopped crying and stayed quet... idk why it did that, maybe it thought the mama was punishing for making noise?

I'm so glad the baby is okay. I think it got quiet because it was startled and maybe scared. I can see how that would cause you to worry.
