We had a venison roast for dinner tonight, and JC kept begging. I didn't give him any, because the meat was marinated and highly spiced, and venison was basically "blacklisted" here for several years because of Chernobyl. I got two cans of California Natural venison and brown rice as a free gift with a recent order of Innova, so I gave him a can. With all the reports of spongiform encephalopathy, which occurs among deer in North America, I'm wondering if that was a wise decision. He'd prefer to eat fish all the time, and hates poultry, so venison would be an alternative, provided it was safe. As far as I know, both CN and Nutro, both produced in North America, have venison cat food - do you think it's safe?
