I am trying to figure out the breed of my cat. She has the aura of a big cat, she moves like a big cat, there is a very exotic quality about her. She was easily trained to a leash, when I walk her, people stop me in curiosity about a cat on a leash and wonderment if she is an exotic cat. She is verbal when she wants something, she will carry on a conversation with you, she jumps high with twists and turns, she is easily taught with verbal commands through repetition but it only takes a few times. Seems as if double commands are the key when she is on the leash she knows, walk, walk...run, run...stop. stop..etc. She plays peek a boo, if I can't see her I will say peek peek, she sticks her head out to look, then puts it where she can't see me until I say it again, and will play this for about four minutes she loves being around humans, she likes to see what you are doing if she can't she jumps your shoulder so she can see, loves heights. Loves watching shadows, her face is very expressive, almost as if you can feel what she is thinking.

I had someone stop me and ask me if she was a cAlifornia Spangle. We adopted her as a kitten from a shelter. The shelter was full, my husband and I walked in and immediately we could not take our eyes off of her,

her spots were amazing, she resembled an exotic cat, when we went in the enclosure she hopped my husband's shoulder and that was it she went home with us right then.

Your cat is a Domestic Short hair and her color is Blue McTabby.

The person who asked you if she were a California Spangle has obviously never seen a real CS. Your baby is a beautiful DSH in a very lovely color...

Tabby is a color pattern not a breed....
Tabby is a gene that appears in many breeds around the world..

A California Spangle is a somewhat rare breed of spotted cat.

I think the poster was making a joke saying McTabby like McDonalds? Not certain. Your kitty is a gorgeous grey tabby (some say blue instead of grey un the cat fancy) She's probably not any particular breed. Cats where the breed isn't known are classifies by fur length. So she is a domestic short hair and her colour is blue tabby. My phone isn't giving a clear enough resolution on the picture to tell of she is a spotted or a stripped tabby. Whatevershe is she's beautiful and big and very well trained!
