Okay Kim, we want to see proof of this so called "sunburn" complete with tan lines (or burn lines) to boot! Just kidding! Actually, I forgot you are from Florida. Where I'm from, I love our totally white Christmases, white New Year's, white Valentine's Days, white Easters, white Halloweens, etc. etc. but sometimes I do envy you southerners.

Where I live in Florida it NEVER gets below freezing! Its funny though, when it gets down to about 60-70 degrees, people wrap up like its the middle of winter-LOL!

Keep warm hissy! and Kim, aloe vera does wonders and smells better than vingear

It is a lovely 70 degrees here in Western North Carolina. Dang highly unusual!

ROTFLMAO!! Thanks for all of the great sunburn advice you guys!! It just dawned on me, though why I burnt so quickly. I have been taking antibiotics because of my surgery. I looked at the bottle and it said in bold print Avoid exposure to direct sunlight -- Somebody slap me!

Ummm Kim? I hate to break it to you, but I think they mean to keep the pills out of the sun, not you!
Exposing antibiotics to the light whether direct sunlight or even room light can weaken the properties of the pills.

Actually hissy, the doctor told me not to go in the sun when I was taking antibiotics also. I does some reaction in the body that causes the suns rays to penetrate easier or something like that. They tell you not to go to the tanning bed either.
Maybe in Oregon, they don't have to tell ya'll that cause its always raining LOL!

Hmm I did not know that it also meant the patient- I knew about the pills though. Thanks for the information-

The antibiotics that I know of that require a patient to stay out of the sun are those that are penicillin free, and usually contains sulphur. And there's another side affect. They can make you feel nauseous while you're on them.

I'm not sure what you would get if you were allergic to penicillin and sulphur.
