Hello!!

I too think I may have a pregnant cat. She is 19 months old and has not been in heat the last two months.

I have noticed her nipples are much more pink and her belly looks enlarged too!

I'm going to the vets this evening to get an opinion and possibly to book a scan.

What does everyone think from this photo???

Can you remember when her nipples changed? That usually happens around day 21.

Here is an article that may help you

[article="31306"]How To Tell If My Cat Is Pregnant[/article]

Let us know what the vet says.

Your cat very much looks pregnant to me! I see pink nipples and if she has skipped heat cycles she is very likely expecting.

Perhaps your vet can perform a scan and determine an approximate delivery date. Let us know what he says! :)

Hello!

I am very new to this and my cat bella is heavily pregnant. I went to the vets on Monday and they advised bella is pregnant and will be delivering any week now or Evan sooner. Since then I have noticed behaviour changes in her, she is more nervous than usual, she is eating constantly!!! And being very restless!!! Last night whilst I was trying to sleep I noticed her trying to climb into my Chester drawers of all places and keeps making weird noises!! I have created a nice dark box for her to have the kittens but she doesn't seem interested in this at all!! I Hope she has her kittens soon because I'm back at work next week! Do you think these as signs of pre labour?? She is also turning on her back a lot as think she is uncomfortable a lot!! Thanks Sophie :)

Not good on the White carpet bet that needed some vanish lol! She is still eating loads though but she was like this Evan before she was pregnant, her bump is big too! This will be her first litter and I am very intrigued to see how many she has!!! Was your cats labour smooth with no complications? I also have a 6 month kitten who keeps annoying her so have to lock him in my bedroom as my cat bella keeps hissing at him as all he wants to do is play!!! This is bella

Congratulations!

Please get some supplies together (just in case) before the birth:

Kitten Milk Replacer (KMR)Powdered form Pet Ag is good, Avoid Hartz and Seargents brands.  Can be found at Walmart and pet stores.

A small syringe, 1 - 2 ml/cc You can get this an a pharmacy

A scale that measures in grams or 1/10 of an ounce

Unflavored Pedialyte can just be a small bottle.

Blunt scissors

Dental Floss

You may have some of these, please make sure you get them together before the birth so they are handy.

Here is an article that is a good overview

 [article="29720"]Pregnancy And Delivery In Cats[/article]

There are also articles at the top of the forum that are more specific.

She is not going to go into the nest until the last minute.  You may want to prepare more than one so she has options.  she isn't going to want the other kitten around for the first few weeks. So if you can put her nest in a closet or spare room that would be best.  She will also need her food water and a litter box nearby.  she isn't going to want to leave the kittens for  long to see to her needs.

Thank you for your message!! I'm being so impatient I know! I had a photo of my cat and her mate around the 16.06.2015 which would make bella around 8 weeks preg so I think I may have another week to wait until she gives birth but saying that that's just an estimate. The vet took one look at my cat and basically said any week now or Evan sooner! She's not being that affectionate to be honest she is just laying on her own and wants to be left alone! Which is what we are doing!! She's also quite stressy and keeps snapping at my kitten (they are now separated) I have all the equipment needed for her just can't wait for her to give birth as dont want to miss it! I've also noticed dry skin around her nipples and they are quite long Aswell!! Maybe this is a sign just need to play the waiting game now :)
