Is this possible?
She's been rolling and calling by the door today. Shocked.
She's never been an outdoor cat but we learnt our lesson when she got out that one time that indoor cats still need to be spayed!! This has been an emotional ride. She will be spayed soon but with all that's gone on I don't want to risk her rejecting surviving kitten. So when he's weaned.
Vets have been less than keen to operate previously due to her ill health and size.

Yes, its fully possible, not that unusual, so dont let her out, not at any price.   usually they do return, but accidents happens.
